$3,000 in Free Respite Care Grant Now Available for Medicaid Seniors in Michigan
Caregiving is a sacred responsibility for families, but even the most devoted caregivers need a break. That’s why the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has launched the Home Help Respite and Caregiver Support Grant—a program offering up to $3,000 in free respite care for eligible families.
The Home Help Respite and Caregiver Support Grant is a Michigan-funded program that gives $3,000 in free respite care to help relieve live-in caregivers of elderly or disabled Medicaid recipients.
This care is fully paid for by the state—you pay nothing.
Islamic Home Care of America is an approved agency that can provide this service.
To be eligible for the $3,000 grant:

All services must be provided through an approved agency and not individuals directly.
The $3,000 in funding covers a 4-month period from the date of approval. Clients must use the same agency for the full duration.
